2027 Summer Intern: Human Resources - Spectrum News

Spectrum (Charter Communications) 2027 Summer Internship Program. This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship running May 26 – August 6, 2027. Interns spend about 80% of the summer on department and team projects and about 20% on program experiences, including a kickoff conference, professional development sessions, networking, mentorship, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations.

Support the Spectrum News HR team as a partner to newsroom leaders and a liaison across recruiting, finance, payroll and development. Assist with onboarding and orientation for new hires, support learning and development initiatives, compile HR metrics and prepare reports, research industry trends and best practices, provide administrative support to the HR team, and assist with special projects.

Majors: Communications, Human Resources, I/O Psychology, Journalism.

Required: Master's student with an expected graduation date of May 2028; currently enrolled at an accredited college or university; GPA of 3.0 or higher; able to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events during the program; authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

Preferred: Strong organizational and project management skills; excellent written and verbal communication; proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to handle confidential information; interest in employee experience, organizational development and talent development.
