2027 Summer Intern: Inside Plant Engineer

Spectrum (Charter Communications) 2027 Summer Internship Program. This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship running May 26 – August 6, 2027. Interns spend about 80% of the summer on department and team projects and about 20% on program experiences, including a kickoff conference, professional development sessions, networking, mentorship, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations.

Provide engineering and operational support for new and existing technologies; install, configure and operate legacy and new headend equipment; troubleshoot and assist with network resolution; and perform routine daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly testing and logging.

Majors: Communications, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Technology Management.

Required: Rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028; currently enrolled at an accredited college or university; GPA of 3.0 or higher; able to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events during the program; authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

Preferred: Knowledge of critical systems such as HVAC, powering and generators; RF and IP technologies; HFC design; optical test equipment such as OTDR, optical spectrum analyzers, fiber identifiers, fiber scopes and optical power meters; video.
