A part-time internship with Spectrum News' Regional Sports Network team in El Segundo, CA, for the Spring 2027 semester, open exclusively to Syracuse University Newhouse School of Public Communications students taking part in the Newhouse Los Angeles Study Away program. Schedules are built around the academic program and business needs.
Work with the Spectrum News Regional Sports Network team during the Spring 2027 semester. Pitch, research and develop stories; assist with live shows, field production and newsroom operations; create content for broadcast, digital, social and streaming platforms; learn professional editing, shooting and writing; and work with reporters, producers, editors and audience engagement teams. Interns get exposure to tracks including multimedia journalism, editorial, digital and audience engagement, production and control room operations, writing and research, and sports content.
Required: current enrollment at Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications and participation in the Newhouse Study Away Program in Los Angeles during the internship term; authorization to wtameork in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
