Spectrum (Charter Communications) 2027 Summer Internship Program. This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship running May 26 – August 6, 2027. Interns spend about 80% of the summer on department and team projects and about 20% on program experiences, including a kickoff conference, professional development sessions, networking, mentorship, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations.
Support the payments engineering (SPS) team by learning payment processing fundamentals (refunds, chargebacks, returns), participating in the software development lifecycle and AI-assisted development practices, getting introduced to monitoring tools, shadowing the operations team on production support, and joining stand-ups and code reviews.
Majors: Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology.
Required: Rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028; currently enrolled at an accredited college or university; GPA of 3.0 or higher; able to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events during the program; authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
Preferred: Basic programming fundamentals in any language; willingness to learn Java, Spring Boot and Kafka; strong analytical and communication skills; comfort asking questions in a fast-paced technical environment.
