Data Quality Intern

Job Description

The Data Quality Intern will support the Pole Development team by ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and organization of all documentation related to pole ownership. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys structured work, data validation, and process improvement. The intern will play a key role in standardizing folder structures, identifying missing documents, and extracting key pole attributes for entry into Sitetracker, the software Project Management platform.

Key Responsibilities

Document & Folder Auditing

  • Audit existing pole documentation in site folders to verify that all required ownership and asset documents are present.
  • Organize existing documents to align with folder structure standards and naming conventions.
  • Ensure each pole folder contains the correct set of subfolders as defined by team standards.
  • Rename documents as needed for clarity.
  • Identify, record, and track missing documentation.

 Data Extraction & Entry

  • Review construction drawings (CDs) and related documents to extract key pole information, including:
    • Pole height
    • Pole type
    • Pole color/finish
    • Existing lighting or attachments
    • Available RADs (Radio Access Devices)

 

·       Audit and organize permits, licenses, and bill of sale documents to reside in proper site folders.

  • Enter, update, or validate pole attribute information within Sitetracker with attention to accuracy and consistency.

Process & Quality Support

  • Support the improvement of documentation standards and internal processes as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment across folder structures and documentation practices.
  • Assist with miscellaneous project tasks related to pole development and asset management.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate student in business, administration, engineering, or a related field
  • Interest in Telecommunications, Engineering, Information Management, Geography, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow structured processes and maintain consistency.
  • Comfortable reviewing technical documents such as construction drawings.
  • Basic familiarity with data systems or asset management tools (Sitetracker experience is a plus, but training provided).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general digital file management.
