Part of the Comtech Internship Program, this part-time co-op offers hands-on systems engineering experience in digital signal processing for satellite communications. The co-op reports directly to the Systems Engineering Director in the Space and Satellite segment and works on site in Chandler, Arizona, five days a week. Responsibilities include implementing and refining DSP algorithms for channelization, filtering and modulation/demodulation; analyzing algorithm performance with MATLAB- and Python-based simulation test benches in the frequency and time domains; validating DSP functions against system-level requirements such as bandwidth, SNR performance and spectral compliance; investigating and comparing architectures such as FFT-based channelizers, polyphase filter banks and multi-rate processing chains; supporting integration of DSP components into satellite communication system models; and contributing to algorithm documentation, test reports and design reviews....
